Costa del Azahar, Orange Blossom Coast, is a beautiful Spanish coastline that stretches for 120km along the Province of Castellon from the town of Vinaroz to the town of Almenara. This area is still relatively unspoiled when it comes to tourism, at least compared to its neighboring Costa Blanca. On Costa del Azahar you’ll find many beautiful beaches and hidden coves, a few towns worth visiting, like Peníscola, Oropesa del Mar, Benicassim, or Castellon de la Plana, and many beautiful green areas.
Costa del Azahar has a Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. If really high temperatures, around 30°C, and crowds don’t bother you – visit during the high season from June to August. If you prefer quieter times and lower temperatures, around 15-20°C, choose any month in the lower season. Personally, we think Spring and Autumn are the best.
