What To Do In Cadiz, Spain In One Day? Complete Travel Guide

Province of Cadiz

Province of Cadiz is a beautiful and vibrant region located in southern Spain, on Costa de la Luz, in Andalusia, with Cadiz as its capital. Besides the capital, its main cities are Jerez de la Frontera, Algeciras, and Tarifa. Province of Cadiz is the southernmost part of mainland Spain, as well as the southernmost part of continental Europe. It’s the only Spanish province with access to both the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean coastlines. It also borders Gibraltar, a United Kingdom overseas territory. Breathtaking sandy beaches, charming white-washed villages, historic sites, delicious Mediterranean cuisine, lots of sun, and warm temperatures make the Province of Cadiz a great destination at any time of the year.

Best time to visit

Province of Cadiz has a Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. If really high temperatures, around 30°C, and crowds don’t bother you – visit during the high season from June to August. If you prefer quieter times and lower temperatures, around 15-20°C, choose any month in the lower season. Personally, we think Spring and Autumn are the best.
