Via Verde del Mar - scenic route from Benicàssim to Oropesa

Province of Valencia

The Province of Valencia is a beautiful and culturally rich region located on the eastern coast of Spain. It’s one of three provinces in the Valencian Community with Valencia City as its capital. Beyond the capital, the province features a diverse landscape of sandy beaches, orange groves, rice fields, and mountain ranges. Towns like Gandía, Sagunto, Xàtiva, and Requena, offer a mix of history, nature, and authentic local life. Whether you’re drawn to medieval castles, lively fiestas, or peaceful countryside, the Province of Valencia has something for everyone.

Best time to visit

Province of Valencia has a Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. If really high temperatures, around 30°C, and crowds don’t bother you – visit during the high season from June to August. If you prefer quieter times and lower temperatures, around 15-20°C, choose any month in the lower season. We think spring and autumn are the best.
