Province of Granada is a captivating Spanish region located on Costa Tropical, in the heart of Andalusia, at the foothills of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains, with Granada as its capital. The area is full of stunning landscapes, rich culture and history, and architecture that varies from UNESCO Moorish Alhambra in Granada to unique troglodytes cave houses in Guadix.

Best time to visit

Province of Granada has a hot Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild to cold winters. If you don’t want to experience super hot temperatures, about 40°C, visit during spring, fall, or winter. When we visited in March, we came across temperatures that varied from 20-30°C depending on a place in the province.
