Where to stay in Costa del Sol?
Benalmadena
Benalmadena is a town of two faces: the traditional Benalmadena Pueblo, a charming Andalusian white village with flower-lined streets and a fairytale Colomares Castle, and the vibrant Benalmadena Costa with sandy beaches, parks, and an award-winning marina.
It’s a destination full of variety, offering attractions like a butterfly park (perfect for families), a striking Buddhist stupa, watersports, and beachside restaurants serving delicious local espetos. So if you’re looking for a place to stay in Costa del Sol that offers charm, relaxation, and entertainment, Benalmadena is a top pick. We also lived here for almost 2 months and loved it!

Nerja
Nerja is one of the most scenic and charming places to stay in Costa del Sol, especially for nature lovers and travelers seeking a slower, more relaxed pace. With its whitewashed old town, golden beaches, dramatic sea views, and laid-back vibe, Nerja perfectly blends beachside tranquility with authentic Andalusian character.
It’s hard to believe this coastal town was once just a quiet fishing village, and today it’s one of the most beloved holiday destinations in Andalusia!

Estepona is a quieter alternative to its glitzier neighbours, perfect for travelers who want to enjoy the coast without the crowds, but also without giving up comfort or beauty.

Frigiliana
If you’re after postcard-perfect views and a peaceful stay, Frigiliana is one of the best places to stay in Costa del Sol’s, located just above Nerja. It’s officially recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain – and it’s easy to see why!
Frigiliana will charm you with its well-preserved cobbled streets, whitewashed houses adorned with flowers, and amazing mountains and sea views. Oh, and we also think it’s a great place for relaxing, romantic getaway away from the crowds!
