Do you need more ideas for day trips from Cadiz? Wow, you are tireless! So here are more ideas, which we still have on our bucket list but during our last stay in Cadiz we just didn’t have more time for them. But we definitely will explore them next time we visit the area. 

Seville

Seville is located about 120km from Cádiz. It’s the capital and largest city of Andalusia, and the fourth-largest city in Spain. Many consider it even the most beautiful city in the whole country! Thanks to really high temperatures in the summer months it’s often affectionately called the “Frying Pan of Europe”. Spectacular historical buildings, Mudejar architecture, many enchanting old neighborhoods, and even giant wooden mushrooms – it’s all in Seville. Also, Seville is a city where the famous flamenco dance has been born, and where the tomb of Christopher Columbus lies.

Arcos de la Frontera

Arcos de la Frontera is located about 65km from Cadiz. It’s one of the most beautiful and most famous white villages in Andalusia, located on a steep rock. Whitewashed buildings, narrow cobblestone winding streets, a beautiful basilica, and stunning views over the Guadalete River and its surroundings add to its charm. Definitely one of the best places for a day trip from Cadiz!

Jerez de la Frontera

Jerez de la Frontera is located only about 35km from Cadiz. This beautiful town is best known for being the sherry wine capital of Andalusia. Doñana National Park

Our opinion about day trips from Cadiz & TOP3

So far we’ve spent 2 months living in the area and we enjoyed our time there. During that time we had a nice opportunity to visit quite a large part of the region and got to know it pretty well. We really enjoyed our trips during which we explored the mentioned cities, towns, and natural sites. We were exploring them in the low season and there were almost no crowds (thankfully!). Our TOP3? Ronda, Estepona and Gibraltar.

One more tip for the end: traveling by car, without a doubt, is the best and the fastest way of getting to all mentioned places near Cadiz. So if you’re not traveling by car, we recommend you rent one.
