Our opinion about Fonts de l’Algar Waterfalls
For us, a visit to waterfalls was a half-day trip (connected with a trip to nearby Polop town) from Benidorm, where we lived for a few weeks. We visited in October and during that time there weren’t too many visitors, at least early in the morning. Although the outside temperature was still quite high, the area itself was fairly cold. It was early in the morning and the shade from the valley blocked the rising sun. It got warmer with time but we were really glad that we took our hoodies with us!
As for our opinion, we really enjoyed our short time in Fonts de l’Algar. Strolling in nature, among waterfalls, springs, and pools was a pure pleasure. A nice change from bustling city life on the coast. Sitting and eating lunch in the picnic area with stunning views over Puig Campana mountain was also a very nice experience. Oh, and we recommend buying some local Nispero products – delicious!
