You don’t worry about parking in Eygalières – there is a free parking lot at the bottom of the village, right near the new Saint-Laurent Church. From there it’s just a short walk into the old town. There’s also free parking near the Saint-Sixte Chapel.
To Eygalieres by public transport
Public transport to Eygalieres is limited and the trip might be very long, even from the nearby places. The fastest, and actually the only, way of getting directly to the village is by bus. There is no train station in Eygalières.
The most useful option is the ZOU! Line 706 bus from Avignon to Orgon, which passes through Eygalières. From Saint-Rémy (located only 10km away) there is no direct bus – you’d need to transfer, which can take around 3 hours. Our opinion about Eygalières
For us, a visit to Eygalieres was a day trip from neighboring Orgon where we lived for a few weeks. We visited in early June, and during that time the village was peaceful with just a handful of other visitors around. Exploring everything we wanted took us about 3 hours.
Honestly, we fell for Eygalieres pretty much instantly. The village might not be packed with dozens of attractions, but in our opinion that’s exactly its charm. We loved wandering charming streets, taking in scenic views, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
Eygalieres isn’t about rushing from one attraction to another – it’s all about slowing down and enjoying the moment, which we truly loved. Without a doubt, one of our favorite stops in the Alpilles!
