Public transport to Ménerbes is limited and the trip might be long, even from the nearby villages. The fastest, and actually the only, way of getting directly to the village is by bus. You won’t have too much trouble with it from nearby places like Bonnieux, Gordes, Apt, Lourmarin, or Avignon. Our opinion about Menerbes
For us, a visit to Menerbes village was a day trip from nearby Orgon, where we lived for a few weeks. We combined it with a visit to the nearby Oppède le Vieux in mid-May, and during that time the village was incredibly peaceful – we only came across 4 other tourists! Exploring everything we wanted took us about 2 hours.
We really enjoyed Ménerbes village. And it actually exceeded our expectations! We loved how authentic and calm it felt, and wandering the cobblestone streets while admiring wonderful views was a real pleasure. Menerbes isn’t about rushing from one attraction to another – it’s all about slowing down and enjoying the moment. What’s not to love?!
